01Who can use Cohr#
Cohr is for businesses and the people who hire for them. You must be at least 18 to open an account, and at least 16 to apply for a job through it, or older where the law or the employer requires. If you use Cohr for a company, you accept these terms for that company and confirm you are allowed to.
02Your account and your team#
Each company has its own workspace. Keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens in your workspace, for the people you invite, and for the permissions you give them.
If you think someone has got in without permission, tell us at once at support@skilize.com.
03What Cohr does, and what it does not#
Cohr uses AI to read applications and score them against your job and your criteria, to write and grade written interviews, to hold voice interviews, and to review proctoring recordings. It ranks candidates and summarises what it found.
These are tools to help your team decide. Scores, rankings, summaries and proctoring flags can be wrong. A proctoring flag is a reason to look, never proof of cheating. You decide who moves on, who is turned down and who is hired, including when you let Cohr move the top candidates on by itself, and you are responsible for those decisions.
04Hiring within the law#
You must use Cohr in line with the laws that apply to you and to your candidates, including employment, anti-discrimination, data protection and recording laws. In particular, you must:
- not set criteria, questions or filters that discriminate on protected characteristics;
- tell candidates that their applications are assessed with the help of AI and, where you use them, that interviews are recorded and proctored;
- have a lawful basis for the candidate data you collect, and answer candidates' requests about it (Cohr lets you erase a candidate's data at any time);
- give candidates a way to ask a person to review a decision where the law requires it.
05Candidate data#
Applications, documents, answers, recordings and notes in your workspace are your data. You decide why they are collected; we process them on your instructions to run Cohr for you, as our Privacy Policy describes, and we never sell them.
Applications are erased automatically when your retention window ends (24 months after the application, unless you set another), and you can erase a candidate sooner. A data processing agreement is available on request at support@skilize.com.
Where your form asks it, a candidate may also tick a box to join the Skilize Cohr talent network. If they do, Skilize keeps the details its Privacy Policy lists as its own record, on the candidate's consent and apart from your applications; erasing an application does not remove it, and the candidate can ask us to.
06If you are a candidate#
When you apply or sit an interview through Cohr, the employer runs the process and decides on your application. Cohr is the software they use.
Some rounds are proctored. With your permission, your camera, your screen and your microphone are recorded during the interview, and you may be asked to use a single display. The rules are shown before every proctored interview.
Answer honestly and in your own words. Using another person, hidden help, AI tools or other devices where the rules forbid them can lead to disqualification. In serious cases an employer can ask us to ban you from applying through Skilize Cohr; our staff review every such request before a ban is made.
If you think a decision about you was wrong, use the employer's appeal, where they offer one, or contact the employer. If you agree to it, an employer may keep your application in its talent pool to consider you for other roles.
Ticking the box on an application form also puts you in the Skilize Cohr talent network, so that we can tell you about other jobs that suit you. It is never ticked for you, and you can ask us to remove you at any time at support@skilize.com.
07Plans and payment#
Cohr is priced per job. Each plan (Free, Lite and Pro) sets limits on applicants scored, written interviews and voice interview minutes, shown on the pricing section. Paid plans are paid once per job, through Stripe; moving a job from Lite to Pro costs the difference. Prices are in US dollars and do not include taxes unless stated.
The Flexible plan, for recruitment agencies, is different: it is a monthly subscription for your company, billed through Stripe, and each job on it pays for what it uses (each resume screened, and each written or voice interview a candidate starts), within limits you set for the job. The first month's monthly fee is free once per company; uses are charged from the first day and added to your monthly invoice. You can cancel at any time from Stripe's billing page; the subscription then runs to the end of the month paid for, and its jobs stop when it ends.
When a job reaches a limit, that step pauses and you are told by email. Nothing is deleted. If something went wrong with a payment, write to support@skilize.com: we look at every refund request, and refund wherever the law requires it.
08Acceptable use#
You must not:
- break the law or anyone's rights, or post jobs that do not exist;
- pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent your company;
- upload malware, or probe, overload or get around Cohr's security or limits;
- scrape or copy Cohr, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows;
- send spam, or contact candidates for anything other than hiring;
- use candidate data for anything but the job they applied for, or your talent pool where they agreed to it.
09Our software and your content#
We own Cohr: its software, design and content. You may use it while your account is active and you keep to these terms. You keep your rights in your data, and give us the permission we need to store, process and show it to run Cohr for you. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
10Changes and availability#
We keep improving Cohr and may add, change or remove features. We work to keep it running, but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors: maintenance, and events outside our control, can interrupt it.
11Suspension and closing an account#
You can stop using Cohr at any time and ask us to close your workspace. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or where the law requires it; where we reasonably can, we tell you first. When a workspace is closed we erase its data as our Privacy Policy describes, apart from what the law requires us to keep, such as billing records.
12Disclaimers#
Cohr is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied, including that it fits a particular purpose or that its results (such as scores, rankings, summaries or flags) are accurate or complete.
13Limitation of liability#
As far as the law allows, Skilize is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or hiring outcomes. Our total liability for all claims about Cohr is limited to what you paid us for Cohr in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
14Indemnity#
If someone brings a claim against Skilize because of your hiring decisions, your data, or your breach of these terms or of the law, you will defend Skilize and cover its losses, as far as the law allows.
15Governing law and disputes#
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Skilize is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before going to court, write to us at support@skilize.com so we can try to settle the dispute within 30 days. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.
16Changes to these terms#
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we tell account owners by email or in Cohr before it takes effect; the date at the top shows the current version. Using Cohr after a change means you accept it.
